Aspiro Explorer is a specific programme for younger students (typically aged between 13 and 17 years old) who are exploring which top universities and courses to apply for and still have a few years ahead of them before applying.

The programme provides you with taster sessions of different subjects that you are interested in, each of them with an expert tutor in the field. If you already have a clearer idea of which subject you would like to study and would prefer to explore it in more depth, we would require enrolling in the Aspiro Focus Programme instead.

All tutors are Oxford/Cambridge graduates or students and all sessions take place 1-to-1.

Example structure of the programme (the final structure is personalised to the student’s needs):

1. Introductory call with a Programme Manager of the Aspiro Junior Programme

   • Introduction to studying in the UK

   • Information about the application process for Oxford and Cambridge

   • Check-up of the student’s current knowledge, level, skills and preparation

   • Identifying areas of focus for the upcoming sessions

   • Creating a specific tailored plan for success

2. Meeting the Expert Tutors from various areas

   • In order to explore different university subjects that the student can apply for, various calls take place where the student has a chat with a tutor of the given subject where they learn more about it

   • Each call is focused on a specific subject and is conducted by an expert tutor in the given field

   • Students typically meet with 2-3 tutors. This can be more if they are still uncertain about their area of interest. Alternatively, if the student becomes sure about a given area early on in the programme, they can request to continue with the expert in that subject to focus their preparation.

   • The most popular subjects explored by our Aspiro Explorer students are Medicine, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Law, Politics, Computer Science and Mathematics. We have a wide network of tutors who can also cover more specific subjects such as PPE, Experimental Psychology, Land Economy, different languages (such as the MML course), and many more. The tutors will be selected based on the consultation with the student in the first call with the Programme Manager.

3. Final review of the student’s progress and roadmap preparation with the Programme Manager

   • After the tutor consultations and taster sessions, the student will have gained a clearer idea of which subject they want to apply for.

   • In this closing call, the Programme Manager helps the student reflect on their taster sessions and choose a subject to focus on.

   • Finally, the Manager will help the student draft their Roadmap to Success, a timeline outlining the next steps on their application journey.

The Aspiro Explorer Programme is offered in two package sizes: 5 or 8 hours. The student can select the package based on their free consultation with the Aspiro Admissions team, as well as depending on their current knowledge of the subjects, the application process and their available time and commitment to learning.

Graduates of the Aspiro Explorer Programme can automatically progress into later programmes with a special discount.

• Once they have discovered their subject of interest, they can continue with the Aspiro Focus Programme where they work with a tutor of the given subject. The goal is to learn more about the subject area, expand their extracurricular profile relevant to the field and build the necessary skills.

• Older students can transfer directly into one of our Admissions Programmes which are focused on application preparation (Personal statements, admissions test preparation, interview preparation, etc.).
