Aspiro Focus is a specific programme for young students (typically aged around 15-18) who already have an idea of which top universities and courses to apply for, who are curious to learn more about the field that they are considering, to verify if it is the right fit for them, and to get a headstart with preparing for their application journey.

The programme provides you with focused preparation and exploratory sessions for your chosen subject, deepening your knowledge, building your skills which are crucial for your later application, and showing you what studying this subject would be like. All tutors are Oxford/Cambridge graduates or students and all sessions take place 1-to-1.

Example structure of the programme (the final structure is personalised to the student’s needs):

1. Introductory call with a Programme Manager of the Aspiro Junior Programme

   • Introduction to studying in the UK

   • Information about the application process for Oxford and Cambridge

   • Check-up of the student’s current knowledge, level, skills and preparation

   • Identifying areas of focus for the upcoming sessions

   • Creating a specific tailored plan for success

2. Meetings with an Expert Tutor of the selected subject. There are usually 3-8 sessions dedicated to this, depending on the student’s current knowledge, interests and the selected package. The content varies depending on the student’s needs, but it can involve things such as:

   • Learning about the admissions requirements for the subject

   • Exploring some topics studied in it, such as through being assigned preparatory work and discussing it with the tutor who conducts a Cambridge/Oxford-style teaching session (simulating the “supervision”/”tutorial” teaching system at these universities")

   • Hearing about what studying the subject is really like

   • Understanding the course structure

   • Working on the necessary skills

   • Discussing top universities for the subject and possible career paths

   • The most popular subjects explored by our Aspiro Focus students are Medicine, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Law, Politics, Computer Science and Mathematics. We have a wide network of tutors who can also cover more specific subjects such as PPE, Experimental Psychology, Land Economy, different languages (such as the MML course), and many more. The tutors will be selected based on the consultation with the student in the first call with the Programme Manager.

   3. Final review of the student’s progress and roadmap preparation with the Programme Manager

   • After the tutor consultations and taster sessions, the student will have gained a clearer idea of what their selected subject is really like, what skills they need to succeed, how to develop their profile as a strong applicant and what the admissions process looks like.

   • In this closing call, the Programme Manager helps the student reflect on their sessions and prepare a plan for continuing the student’s preparation journey.

   • Finally, the Manager will help the student draft their Roadmap to Success, a timeline outlining the next steps on their application journey.

The Aspiro Focus Programme is offered in packages from 5 to 10 classes, depending on your preference and the initial free consultation. The content is personally tailored to each student’s needs by the Programme Manager as well as by the subject expert tutor.

Graduates of the Aspiro Focus Programme can automatically progress into one of our Admissions Programmes which are focused on application preparation (Personal statements, admissions test preparation, interview preparation, etc.) and they receive a special discount for subsequent preparation sessions.
